Canoe/Kayak Event on Saturday, August 6th
Celebrate summer with a canoe/kayak trip down the St. Croix River headwaters segment (between Upper St. Croix Lake and the Gordon Flowage) on Saturday, August 6th. This informal event will be coordinated by the Friends of the Bird Sanctuary Birding Group and the Friends of the St. Croix Headwaters.
Participants will meet at the Solon Springs Community Center at 9:00 am., and begin our journey at about 9:30 am to the boat launch accessible via Prevost Road.
Plan on about 4 hours on the water. This "meet the people, meet the river" event will provide an opportunity for bird watching. This is your chance to look around a bit and to have some fun.
